CUSTOM WWII GERMANS
By: Sixty_Driver

This figure is Chris, Fallschirmjaeger from summer of 1944, during the furious fighting in France. He started life as a cammo faced 82nd airborne. He is wearing the standard 21st Fallschirmjaeger uniform, with 21st gear. He carries the Dragon MG 34. As you can see, he is a mouth breather. His helmet straps, belt and Y harness were made from leather. The Y straps are the narrow type used by the Fallschirmjaeger. And of course all the gear was repainted as well.

This is Volksgrenadier "Hertmug". He is the DAK sculpt. I like the tired haggard look of this fig, maybe the best one 21st has done. Anyway, I added 5 days growth beard using a soldering iron with a fine brass wire attached. Naturally he needed a repaint after this. He's also wearing the DAK hat which was carved up a little to represent the M1943 softcover. His uniform is 21st, the gear is a mix of 21st and Dragon. I intended to make this a no frills no gear figure surrendering to US troops, but got carried away.

Outstanding work Sixy_Driver! Hertmug has to be one of the coolest looking German action figures I've ever seen. You did an awesome job on Chris as well, but Hertmug is just over the top! Definitely some fine fine work soldier. I can't wait to see what you come up with next. Special thanks for sending these great soldiers in and sharing them with us. - GL
