| The M5A1 Stuart has been my favorite WWII tank for over 30 years and I had to have one of those Ultimate Soldier M5A1s. I now have two of them. I was, however, disappointed by the most obvious detail omission on the tank; no periscope details inside the drivers’ hatches. This set of nine pictures feature my customized M5A1 with these details added. I developed a kit for adding these details to both of my Stuarts. The last picture shows a close up detail of the resin cast periscopes I produce. The resin cast periscopes are exact copies of the periscope molded into the commander’s hatch in the turret of the tank, as they are on the real tank. -- DEF223 |
