WWII OSS
BEGINNINGS, PART 4

By: IrishSEAL13

Later that evening I found a crate in the kitchen underneath the table. I pulled it out and opened it up. It looks like my favorite flavor of wine, which is any flavor of wine. I put some in my coffee and then decided to just finish up the bottle. I guess I drank a little too much, because I don't even remember going to bed.

The next morning I had a rude awakening of sorts.
Getting smacked in the stomach with a shovel is a guaranteed way to get sober quickly and not to mention taking a hit to the side of the face too.
After she woke me up and I finally got a chance to explain myself, she apologized for beating me up and got me some coffee.
She then told me about her life here in Belguim, about her husband's death at the hands of the Nazis. They wanted him to use his farm to help the Nazi party, but he disagreed with their cause. They executed him in front of her, she said that the same group of soldiers comes by the house when they are in the area, sometimes there are more soldiers, sometimes there are just a couple, but they do things to her and in fear of her life she goes along with them so they will leave her alone.

...I didn't know what to say to this, so I just sat there like a bump on a log.
