| This represents a Sargeant in the Trans-Jordanian Army in 1946, just as the British were granting their independence as a nation (again). The figure is one of the Twisting Toy Italians, I have had it for years, waiting for the right inspiration. It finally happened. The uniform is entirely British, of course, given the history of the country. During the transition, the Jordanian army served as a peacekeeper role, trying to keep factions under control and the process safe for the average Jordanian citizen. |
