Dear Colonel (GL) sir,
On the road to your Headquarters in Malmedy, we came across a lone Corpsman, just standing by the side of the road. He told us of a town called Marwencol, where there's American Prisoners of War, that the SS are guarding. Besides the POWs, there's innocent people inside of that town, sir. My crew and I are taking a detour, so we can bring this Medic to the town, so he can help those prisoners, and .... .... What's that, sir ? You want all attempts made,to rescue the prisoners ? Some of them are in your outfit ?! Yes sir !! My crew and I, and the Corpsman are headed that way, at this very moment, Colonel. I'll let you know the progress we're making, Colonel sir :) and Colonel sir, I dug out my "Combination" cap, and decided to "crush" it up, just like in my dream, and wear it :) Respectfully Yours, Cpt.
