"ALAQUA' MONTIQUE"
PART 2

By: Hogie309

Dear Colonel sir,

The girl was a mute, so she couldn't tell us anything of why she was wandering around the Belgian countryside. It bothered me, how such a beautiful girl could be lost, and on the run. I found a spot where my crew and guests, and I, could rest for a while, and while I was taking off my headset, the girl was writing things down in broken English (I wasn't aware that Leftenant Jones could speak Belgian, at that moment), explaining the dyer predicament that she was in. She was from Marwencol, the town where the POWs are, that we want to free. And she explained in notes of broken English, how the town's people gave her all of the town's wealth, to run off with and hide, to keep it from the Germans. Colonel sir, there must have been 20 "Large", in just American dough, alone !! There were Belgian Francs, German Reich Marks, and French Francs, all equaling over 17 million dollars !!, if it were US currency, sir !! So now, we have to rescue the POWs so the Corpsman can tend to them, rid the town of Germans, and make sure that this beautiful girl gets the town's wealth back into the town's bank. That shouldn't be too hard to do....

Respectfully Yours,
Cpt. Hogancamp, 9th Armoured Div.
