In this snowy installment, the armored scout car and the jeep are heading towards the same intersection on the 'snow road', and they can't see the other one coming because of the high snow banks along the roadway, and they get into an accident. The bazooka team in the jeep, and the Lt. and his men in the scout car are jolted a bit, and some fenders got bent, but all are cool with the deal :) The higher ranks get out of their vehicles and break out a map, to see in what part Belgium this road is. . . then it started snowing a little bit again. . .
A GI Pvt. decided to wander over to a corner of the road, that led into a town covered in snow, where from a horse stable he hears laughing, and storytelling, and then laughter again. He turns to the Lt. and tells him what he's hearing down the snow road into this town, coming from an old horse stable. The Lt. tells the Sgt. of the bazooka team to grab a few men and head down that snow road and see what's up in that old horse stable. The Sgt. grabs a few GI's and heads down the snow road into this town, towards where the Pvt. said he heard the voices coming from. It was getting dark so I had to turn the town's lights on, and that startled the little Sgt. and his men, hehehe, I giggled at that when it happened :) Anyway, there was a snow bank in front of the horse stable, and as the GI's got closer they could see firelight illuminating the top edge of the snow bank, and the voices in the old horse stable were getting clearer. . . . |
