VIETNAM M-79 GUNNER
By: BC Ries

I always thought that the M-79 grenade launcher was a cool weapon, so Here is my Vietnam M-79 gunner. I gave him a custom buttpack and the sidebag is inspired by a picture that was taken in Hue in 1968. The picture didn't show as much detail on the sidebag so I just used my imagination and guessed on the details. My son got into my stuff and went through a Vietnam book I had, he thought that the helmet grafitti was cool so he started writing on a helmet I gave him, then he made some grenade pins because I told him that I used to carry one stuck into my helmet band in case I ever pulled a pin and needed a spare to put back into a grenade. Then he sort of changed around one of my troops to make a LRRP M-60 gunner.

Very cool work here for sure BC! You've put together some really sharp looking Vietnam troops here. I love the idea of the extra grenade pins, a great added detail that I don't believe I've ever seen before. Excellent work all the way around! Special thanks for sending them in and sharing them with us. - GL
