46TH JAEGER REGIMENT

| On 06 June 1944, the 16th Felddivision [Luftwaffe] held responsibility for the area between Haarlem and Ijmuiden in The Netherlands. Between 16 June and 01 July, the 16th redeployed to the Caen, France sector. On 02 July, 2nd Battalion, 46th Jaeger Regiment was committed to action west of the Orne River. The 46th Panzerjaeger Company awaits the vanguard of the British Operation Charnwood. |
