A local group has been doing a fund raiser for the last 19 years called the secret garden tour. My wife Angie has been going for about 4 years. A good friend that she goes with told her that
her garden should be in it. So she asked the gal that ran it and the gal came by to see it and said definitely.
We got the yard looking even better then it already did, then I asked if I could do some dios in the yard. I told her my ideas and came up with these. I made a set of steps for the church and it all came together. The only one that didn't make the cut was the singing cowboy. We both thought it looked cool, it just didn't fit, but I took some shots of him anyway. Oh forgot to say we had over 350 people came through the yard in 3 days. One lady, when she saw the dios, asked if the park bench scene was when I asked her to marry me. Then there are scenes of the wedding and then working in the garden together ever since. However, she asked if there was an ending to the story - so I came up with the ending pics. |
| A really nice idea Mel. I'm sure all the ladies loved this! I loved the singing cowboy too, he was pretty awesome! I'm glad you got some photos of him, even though he didn't make the cut. Great stuff old friend. Special thanks for sending it in and sharing it with us. - GL |
