I wanted to have a field kitchen, so when I saw one posted on the board, I decided to steal the idea. I also had to "up the stakes" so I wouldn't look like a plagiarist. After consulting with my friend Al, we discussed the idea of having a real smoking stack and a way to "cook" in the kettle. Al made both sections out of metal to accomplish the 2 ideas and then went one step further by scratch building wooden wheels. Al is the wizard of scratch building, and no matter what crazy ideas I get, he always comes through and then some.
