Battle of Roi-Namur
Marine 3rd BN 23rd Marines

By: Sharpie

Here are some pictures of another all Ultimate Soldier kitbashed figure. This figure is a combination of the Navy Seal Night Ops body, 1944-45 USMC uniform set, and the 29th D-Day figure cartridge belt, rifle, and helmet. I made the Japanese good luck flag out of an old hankey and some pens.

I was in the Marine Reserves before the Army, so in keeping with the finest traditions of the Corps, this Devil Dog is modeled after a Marine from 3rd BN, 23rd Marine Regiment, 4th MARDIV, from the battle of Roi-Namur on the Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands 1944.

Wow, that's one of the best uses of that smiling 21st headsculpt that I've ever seen. A great looking figure Sharpie. Really great work on that Japanese flag too, I was surprised that it was handmade, it looks so good. Special thanks for sending another cool project in and sharing it with us. - GL
