DRAG BIKE
By: Ilaf

Not sure it can best the DRAG Cars that Kaber does, but designed to give them a run for the money!

There is still a few things that I have not quite figured out how to add to this bike. It needs a fuel cell and an oil tank. I have seen then just as square boxes and then have also seen them as long tubes along the back bone of the bike. I just have not decided which I want. Also there is no rear belt drive to the wheel... a little design mishap, but should be fixable with a smaller strip of leather.

Ok the run down. The frame is round steel rod, welded together. The rear axle is a standard bolt... I welded some washers onto the frame to hold that bolt. The rear wheel is off some RC Car that a buddy of mine gave to my son. (he gave him 4 RC cars, each in a different state of brokeness!) The front wheel is off the $7.99 Big Lot bike. The front end is a couple of castings I use, and just some steel rod. The handle bars are made from the Testor Indian seat grab bars. The exhaust pipes are made from coat hangers covered with fish aquarium air line. Thanks CK2 for that idea... I did not paint them since I am trying to decide if I like the way they look now.

Of course the ENGINES are all MINE! The transmission is to represent a 2 speed racing transmission. It is made of all kinds of loose pieces. Now the air filters are special. I was going to paint them, but they are actually the caps on JB WELD tubes! So why paint them... I used some JB WELD on this bike too! The rear fender is made from Sheet plastic, all melted together with a soldering Iron. I just looked around the house for some stickers that my boy had. He likes Sponge Bob, and had some NasCar, and some math stickers. I think they look okay.

Awesome!! I'm definitely in love with this project here Ilaf. Very very cool. Once again, you totally amaze me. I can't wait until you get this thing finished completely and into another photo shoot, because I definitely haven't seen enough of it yet! Special thanks for sending this cool project in and sharing it with us. - GL
