| Naraku is the main antagonist in the anime InuYasha, Naraku (literally means "underworld", or "hell") is responsible for nearly every character's suffering throughout the series. He is a hanyo- that originated from a bandit named Onigumo ("Demon Spider"). Like InuYasha, Naraku's main goal is to collect all of the shards of the Shikon no Tama in order to become a full yo-kai. He had feelings for Kikyo because of Onigumo's love for her while he was alive. Later, he expels his human heart and with it his feelings for Kikyo and his human half, making him a full demon. He has red eyes and a spider shape burn on his back. He usually takes on the shape of a human in a white baboon pelt, but he also takes on the form of a human daimyo- named Hitome Kagewaki. His abilities are, Shapeshifting, Putting up a powerful barrier, Regeneration, Along with various psychic powers, and Superhuman strength, He also uses Demon puppets and Sho-ki (miasma) a poison gas which kills anything that touches it. |
