I decided since I have some pics of my SEAL Teams in action, I thought it was only right that my VC figures got some picture time as well. I think I put together a decent set of "Black Pajamas", I know my SEAL Team was not looking forward to finding this group of "Zipper Heads" (as they said back in Vietnam). Although smaller in physical size by comparison, these soldiers were never to be underestimated by any who confronted them.
The Viet Cong - A slang name for Vietnamese Communists - were the most famous guerrilla force in history. Armed with the simplest of weaponry and living off minimal nutrition in the jungle, The Viet Cong ate away at the lives of U.S. units through ambush, booby-traps and bombs. Yet put the popular image to one side, and it is notable how little is really understood about this body of fighters. The Viet Cong were the military arm of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam, an organization formed on December 20,1960. |
