DETECTIVE KEVIN RICE

I made this custom figure of Rockford Police Department Detective Kevin Rice, who was a good friend of mine and was killed by a gang member in July, 2001. Detective Rice was assigned to the gang unit and was a member of the Rockford SWAT Team. This figure has the actual Rockford SWAT Team patch on the figure's shoulders. I added Police Patches to the front and back of the vest. Rockford SWAT also has a Police Band on the helmet, which I made from scratch. The patches were made by String. The Rockford PD used S & W 4506, .45 cal. handguns when Detective Rice was on the SWAT Team. I modified the old suppressed TUS pistol to resemble the S & W 4506. Detective Rice was a spotter for one of the Sniper Teams and was armed with the M16A1.
I placed the figure in a display case and presented the figure to the Rockford Police Department Gang Unit. The figure was displayed on Kevin's desk for a couple of weeks. The figure was then presented to Kevin's family in order for Kevin, Jr. to remember his Father, the Hero. This is a very special figure of a person who gave his life to protect all of us.
