SCENE FROM WWII
By: Koso

These shots are from my latest addition to my in wall bookshelf (built it myself to cover a large hole in the wall that was left after a smaller window was installed). Each shelf has a small display of SAMs. The top shelf is reserved for 3 original GI Joes from the 60's and 70's. I will try to send photos of the other shelves in the future.

The look I was going for was of an Airborne trooper linking up infantry during Operation Market Garden (not sure if they were in a wooded area). He is the point man and sees something suspicious ahead, so he squats down and gives the "halt" sign.

I painted the weapons following techniques on the site. I bleached and dyed the infantry uniforms to match the true colors using a tip from the custom page of the site.

The guy in the middle now has a cool leather sling for his Garand (not pictured).

I only wish that I had a cool backdrop to show off instead of the painted wood, maybe someone can give me a tip. -- Koso

Real nice work there Koso! I love your bookshelf display. You've set those trees up great and your troops look awesome! Keep up the terrific work. Special thanks for sending these cool shots in and sharing them with us. - GL
