HUSSAR CAVALRY POLISH ARMY
By: Koso

Here is a figure I made for my dad. He is a Hussar Cavaly Soldier from the Polish Army circa 1400 - 1700's. He is an "Alistaire" SAM. His helmet is a SOTW WWII helmet painted chrome with a leather strap and ear pieces added on. The uniform is also a SOTW bleached and dyed red with some satin ribbon to make it look more regal. I didn't use TUS uniforms because I couldn't bring myself to ruin such good stuff by dying it red. All of the armor is hand made out of tin tooling foil. It is held onto the soldier using leather straps and buckles I ordered from Rio Rhondo. I sewed his boots out some soft leather I bought at the craft store. I admit the boots are pretty sad, I will redo them someday. If you notice any smudging on the armor, it is the metal starting to rust. I figured, since the armor was iron and would rust naturally, I would allow the tooling foil to rust as well.

The photo of nice looking armor is a museum piece I modeled mine after. The office display photo shows where Dad shows it off (the oicture in the background is of King Jagiello's Stockholm Role. A famous group of Royal Hussars of the 1400's. It took me from Aug - Dec, 2000 to complete him enjoy!
