VICKSBURG
By: Checkmate King 2

I went out and did a few new pictures of my Federal troops today. This week I built a limber to go with my canons.

As Grant's Army maneuvers around Vicksburg, we find fragments of the 6th Ohio Volunteer Infantry along with the 14th Indiana Artillery group, working their way around General Pemberton's fortifications, around Vicksburg.

The group moves through the backwoods country of Mississippi, crossing many creeks and rivers to move within striking distance of Pemberton's outer defensive positions.

Horses, wagons, limbers, canons and men, all moving forward with little rest, foraging off their surroundings...all must be fed and watered.
