WW2 German Close Combat Knife
By: B.C. Ries

Here are some pictures of my real german close quarters combat knife along with pictures of 1/6th TUS, Dragon and BBI versions of the knife. I think the TUS knife looks best, I also think the Dragon scabbard looks best but the TUS can be clipped onto thick clothing without breaking. I also included pictures of my TUS 'German Elite Soldier' or SS soldier if you aren't politically correct. The real knives were actually made and issued in WW1, then put into storage, during WW2 they took them out of storage, made the scabbards and re-issued them. So a knife like mine is a relic of both World Wars. It is a really simple design but is easy to handle and appears to be quite effective.

It was cool to see pics of the real knife along side their 1:6 scale counterparts B.C. Special thanks for sending these in. Very interesting. Of course that 21st Elite Soldier, as always, looks way cool. -- GL
