He'd never been fishing before... in his life ! Some of the British boys in town heard of this, and wouldn't have our little buddy not experience a good fishing trip. So, they piled into the Jeep, and of course Pvt. Mel had to drive, because the others were letting Mel pick his own 'good spot' to stop and throw a line in :)..... .....He landed on Sword Beach on June 6th, and was in charge of a Bren team, in which his team was separated from him, due to all of the excitement that was going on when they landed. He traveled through France first, and eventually wound-up in Belgium. His canteen was dry, and he was thirsty. Attempting to find fresh and clean 1/6th drinking water, Corporal Merry came upon a small, muddy stream. He dipped his cup into it,... and came up with tasteless, gritty, muddy water. He didn't drink it... This is the second to the last episode, before my camera stopped working... because I filmed the last episode, with the 'ol G-6 camera, in the Rain...
