USING CLEAR PLASTIC TO CREATE PLASTIC TARP COVERS
By: Steve Wood

First layout the objects or figure you want to cover, and then cover the subjects with the plastic. In this case I used the plastic from one of the 21C R/c Hummvees.

Trim the plastic after you see how the plastic is going to react to the heat. It will usually shrink a bit. I ended up trimming quite a bit off of this one. Also, on this project I just had a rough idea of what I wanted to do. Part way into it, I cut a hole in the plastic for the figures head.

As you are heating the plastic, you can move the heatgun arount to get more wrinkles. Also, you may need to hold down the heated plastic to get it where you want it and then blow on it. By blowing on it, you can get it to set in that position very quickly.
