A ROUGH LANDING
By: Panzercommander

Lieutenant Summers: [Sighs] Thinking to himself: "Where the hell am I?"

Corporal Evans: [Making a lot of noise while walking] "So I bet Eddie five dollars that I bag a Kraut first. Now, we're two hours into the invasion and I so much as haven't seen a Kraut - or Eddie!"
Private Williams: "Yeah - thank God we found each other - France has been boring so far."
Evans: "I bet Eddie's got ten stories already about ambushing..."

Summers: "FLASH!"

Evans: "THUNDER!"

Williams: "It sure is good to see you sir!"
Summers: "It's good to see you too. Aren't you boys from first platoon?"
Evans: "Yes, sir. I'm Evans and this is Williams"
Summers: "Seen Lt. Grayson yet?"
Evans: "We ain't seen anyone from our stick. You sir?"
Summers: "Nope."

Evans: "Looks like you've already got a souvenir, sir. How'd you come about that?

Summers: "What? This Schmeisser? Well, unlike you two I landed with only my dispatch case, binoculars, and my .45&"

Summers: "I must have walked a mile or two without seeing anyone when I came across a road. I didn't recognize it from the sand tables so I followed it, looking for a sign, house, tree - anything to get my bearings. I heard something so I dropped down off the road and hugged the embankment - listening.
