MOTHER RUSSIA'S PATRIOTIC FORCES
By: Boogieman

This is my Cossack/Russian leader. The U-boat commander makes an excellent Russian figure for this subject. The papakha (fur cap) is handmade from Sculpy. The uniform has been roughed up with sand-paper. Canteen and ammo pouch are re-paints. He has had a re-paint on his beard, hair and detailing to his face. A little more weathering and he will be ready for combat.

Here is a figure that turned out better than expected. Starting with the Swat Commander figure I receded his hairline with my Dremel, added a huge saber scar across his temple, nosebrow and cheeck.Highlighted the scar. Then some heavy 5 o'clock shadow inspired by Pointman. His uniform is a mix of Beatcop trousers,Misha's shirt,Pink-isle leather jacket and a old peaked cap from Action man with a complete paint makeover.

The BeatCop makes a nice Russian figure too. Some face detailing,re-paint of helmet and some gear. Added unit patches too the collars of his padded jacket. He still likes weathering but is ready for combat.

Here is one of my first Russian soldiers. It is the German machinegunner figure with a complete face/head re-paint. The cap is from Hasbro and the rest is pure TUS with a re-paint on his gear. I also have a couple of Hasbro grenades on his belt.I am not sure how accurate they are.

Here is my favorite Russian figure, The SAS Scud hunter headsculpt with some face detailing. The side cap is one of Bravo 2-2's (Mike did a great job on these,Thanks bud). The Winter-white smock and pants are SOTW with heavy weathering. In gasmask bags corded belt are his heavily soiled gloves and in his left hand is his facemask. He has his TUS WWII Russian boots, tunic and trousers on underneath as well as boots. I have the Japanese ammo pouch as his flare pouch for the captured German flare gun. The Moisin-Nagant(Cots) rifle is slung across his back. He is also armed with a sidearm. All gear has a re-paint

One of the great things about the Russian Army is the fact that so many women fought in it. I have utilized the Hasbro Pilot figure for my female fighter. She has one of Bravo 2-2's caps, SOTW Winter-white jacket and trousers with more heavy weathering. Under her jacket is a Dragon blouse from their female sniper figure. Some mittens and her Hasbro boots with detailed laces. She has captured German weapons and gear. I added a little lipcolor and blush. I read that some Russian women wore make-up. I guess they figured if they died they wanted to look good.

Here is my sniper team together. Don't you troops know " The Russian Army was made up of Snipers?" (21st. give us some more Russians please). Also notice my female does not come with a puddy tat!
