BATTLE AT SAN BERNADINO STRAIT
OVERBOARD
By: Panzer Jager and Oddball

On October 25, 1944 in the Pacific at San Bernardino Strait the Japanese navy, after losing the super battleship Musashi, planned to attack six unsuspecting US escort carriers who were protected by seven Destroyers. The Japanese fleet consisted of a cruiser force and the super battle ship Yamato.

Schmitt and Joe were assigned to one of the American Destroyers, which were sacrificed to stop the Japanese fleet from getting to the aircraft carriers. With their shipped crippled by enemy cruisers, Schmitt and Joe were left behind to see to it that their sinking Destroyer gets scuttled. All of a sudden the Yamato breaks out of a dense fog. The only gun left operable is a 40mm bofor. So Schmitt and Joe heroically open up on the Yamato.

The Yamato fires it's secondary Batteries at the crippled Destroyer.
