BRITISH SAS
By: Captain Fisher

Here is the run down on the jeep. Following Rob Sorrel's advice on his web page I started by adding proper hood overhang and hood latches out of plastic strip.. Holes were also drilled into the sides of the hood to simulate where other hardware had been removed..All of the gas can and equipment racks were fashioned out of plastic strip as well.. it was heated with a hairdryer to bend it into the needed 90 degree angles... I accidentally snapped alot of it, but finally got the hang of it ! The camo cover rolled up on the hood is just an old army sock of mine.. and the seats were covered with one of my old BDU Tshirts.. (all of that old uniform stuff came in handy after all !!) The twin lewis guns are from Williams Brothers and had to be put together.. the 50 cal is obviously 21st. Both weapons mounts were made from brass rod and strip plastic.. The condensor on the front is made from a hasbro water container (came with one of the WW2 pilots) The figures are a deadhead Sam and a World Peacekeeper with Fimo sculpted beards.. headwraps are scrap cloth with twine wrapped around the top.. The desert sandals were hand made from real leather.

Well, I hope everyone enjoys these. This does rank up there as one of my favorite projects.. I had a blast building it.. but am definitely ready to move on to something else !! -- Captain Fisher

Wow! Outstanding work Captain! All the work you put into it really shows! You're a lucky man. I don't know if this goes for everybody else, but I sure as heck wish I owned it! Your customizing talents never fail to amaze me! Special thanks for sending these in and sharing them with us, as always. -- GL
