M1917A1
By: Rich

After those last shots of the TUS machine guns I have been a little busy. I started the rebuild of the M1917A1 Water Cooled Browning almost immediately. Having spent mostly a short time during most evenings I have managed to get the tripod and cradle to this point. After cutting it down to more parts than it started with originally I did reuse almost every original piece again. This is now made up of it's own plastic parts along with bits and pieces of sheet plastic, brass rod, tubing, stainless steel machine screws, two nuts, craft chain, along with touches of resin filler. I just counted the bits and pieces and came up with 74 separate parts to make this thing up so far. The tripod legs lock and unlock to fold as well as several other parts actually work. Although the gun is not pictured I replaced the water jacket with brass tubing as well.
