ACTION TOY GEAR
COMBAT ASSAULT RAFT
REVIEW

By: GreenLeader

Well guys I finally managed to get my hands on one of those new Combat Assault Rafts from Jorge Joya's new company Action Toy Gear. A very new company to the 1/6th scale world and still pretty small, but their first release is one that you men are definitely going to want to put in your modern collection. So let's take a look at this baby...

...for the price of $29.99, you get all this terrific stuff you see here (excluding the Ultimate Soldier figure of course :)

Included is: 1 Black Inflatable Raft, 4 black oars, 1 OD colored nylon carrying bag, 1 signal light keychain with real working trigger mechanism (in case you want to do some Morse Code), and a puncture repair kit (not pictured). Everything comes packed in a plain white mailer box 10 inches by 3.5 inches.

Close up of signal light, a real detailed keychain for sure.

Close up of the OD nylon carrying bag. As you can see here, it features a zip closure and 4 carrying handles, so after your guys pack their raft up, they can carry it away for storage.

I don't know if it's true to scale, but it looks awful close to me from some of the pictures I've seen. A full 27 inches long, 14 inches wide and 4 inches tall.

The inside deck area measures approximately 13 inches long by 8 inches wide. As you can see here, you can easily fit an Ultimate Soldier figure (with a Super Soldier body) lying down comfortably with a bit of room to spare.

And don't worry about the inflating part, this raft is made like your standard pool toy. It inflates and deflates with a simple beach ball type plug. The material this raft is made of is very similar to that inflatable pool/pool toy plastic.

A black nylon grab-line is secured to the side of the raft with 14 black plastic D Rings. The D Rings are attached to the boat by small circular rubber discs glued to the side.
