ALLIED AMBUSH
By: Private Ponke

A German Army company travels through the countryside of Normandy, looking for any Allies or villages where the French Resistance may be hiding. The company is composed of two infantrymen, a Panzer Grenadier, and a sniper.

The Germans become tired of traveling and stop to set-up a camp. As you can see, they have dug out two large pits and are setting up a shelter with a zeltbahn.

After the work was done, they relaxed and enjoyed summer sausage.

Very quietly, two Americans crawl up to a barrier the Germans had constructed.

One of the Americans takes aim at the Panzer Grenadier. The dispatch rider whispers, "Take him." Instantly, he fires a shot from the M-1.

"You got that Kraut!" yells the dispatch rider. The sniper flees as the grenadier drops dead.

The sniper turns back around and heads for shelter behind the boulder.
